the right way to say thank you

rationale
the „i voted" sticker is the most ordinary symbol of election day: familiar, expected and often forgotten within hours. „the right way to say thank you" gives this everyday piece of voting culture a new meaning. the print series shows two emblematic landmarks in the broader history of voting rights — susan b. anthony's grave and the selma to montgomery national historic trail — covered with stickers from voters today. these sites represent defining struggles led by women and black americans while standing for the many people and movements that expanded access to the ballot. by placing a routine contemporary symbol at sites of historic significance, the campaign connects today's visual culture of participation with the sacrifices behind it. it turns a disposable badge into a lasting tribute: the most meaningful way to thank those who fought for your right to vote is to use it.
